Luke started riding his 125cc speedway bike on the Scunthorpe Mini Track in 2008, and after spending around a year practicing, he then moved on to the main track and after a only a short while, began to compete in Scunthorpe's amateur meetings.
In 2010, he also started to compete in the British Under 16 Youth Championships on his 125cc bike, which he did until the start of the 2013 season when he moved up to the 250cc catergory.
This move certainly seemed to suit him more. He came 3rd overall in the 2013 championships and came 4th overall in the 2014 championships just missing out on 3rd by 1 point.
In 2016. Luke competed in the British Speedway Youth Championship rounds and also completed in his Stoxkart which was purchased over the winter.
In 2017, Luke competed in the Speedway National League for Belle Vue Colts as their number 7. The Colts were victorious in winning the National League.
Luke also competed in his Stoxkart again in which he had quite a few races and trophies, and he also won the Stoke track championship and Shale Supremo.
In 2018, Luke switched from 2 wheels to 4 and is now a Brisca F2 driver racing under his Dads old F2 racing number of 344.
After a quite up and down first season last year, 2019 again will see Luke competing in his Brisca F2
